Angel Reese made her WNBA debut when she took the court for the Chicago Sky in a preseason matchup against the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night.
Reese, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, impressed in her debut performance — scoring 13 points to go along with a game-high nine rebounds.
Reese wasn’t the only WNBA rookie to make her debut this past week. No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark and several other talented young players also took the court for the first time.
Reese took to social media with a simple message for her fellow WNBA rookies.
“So happy for all the rooks!!!” Reese wrote on X.

Like Reese, Clark also impressed in her WNBA preseason debut. The former Iowa superstar scored 21 points in 28 minutes — continuing to electrify fans with contested, logo threes.
Reese’s rookie teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, recorded six points, four rebounds and two blocks in her debut for the Sky.
Reese will take the court again when the Sky face off against the New York Liberty in another preseason matchup on Tuesday.
