Rey Mysterio was in action this week on SmackDown
WWE star Santos Escobar shared his thoughts on the X social media platform this week after Carlito turned on Rey Mysterio and the rest of LWO.
LWO members Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio were in a tag team match against Angel and Humberto this week. LWO scored another victory over Legado del Fantasma, as Lee and Rey picked up the win after a fast-paced matchup.
However, the real drama unfolded after the match as Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez came out. He claimed that he had some footage that he wanted to show Rey and the rest of his faction.
Escobar claimed that he didn’t attack Dragon Lee before WrestleMania and pulled up the video showing Carlito attacking the star. After this, Carlito had no excuse and attacked his LWO teammates before running off into the crowd. Later on Twitter, Santos claimed that he was right all along.

Rey Mysterio teamed up with Andrade at WrestleMania
After Dragon Lee was neutralized before WrestleMania, Rey Mysterio found an ally in Andrade. The two stars formed an alliance to take on Santos Escobar and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio at the Show of Shows.
The Hall of Famer made sure to beat some respect into his son during the encounter. Despite a hellacious beating from Escobar, the luchador continued fighting. Andrade then tagged in and went to work on his opponents.

Further chaos ensued as all the members of LWO and Legado del Fantasma came out, resulting in an all-out brawl. Dominik tried to go for a steel chair but was stopped by two masked men. Rey then hit a 619 and Splash combination for the win. The two masked stars later revealed themselves to be Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Carlito has now become another name in the long line of stars that have betrayed Rey Mysterio throughout his career.
It will be interesting to see how this storyline develops in the coming weeks.
