Katy Perry got emotional and even teared up as she was honored at the 35th annual Colleagues spring luncheon on Thursday.
The 39-year-old singer had tears running down her face as she was honored with the Champion of Children Award at the gala event.
Earlier in the night the star looked stunning as she was joined by her mother Mary Perry, 75, and her father Keith Hudson, 76, at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
At the event, which also featured a fashion show from Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2024 collection, she was honored with the Colleagues Champion of Children Award for the contributions made through her Firework Foundation.
While making her arrival on the red carpet, she was joined by her parents, who are both Pentecostal pastors, for a sweet snap.

For the special occasion, Perry — who suffered a wardrobe malfunction on American Idol over a week ago — wore a white halter top and a matching midi skirt, which both featured sexy lace cutouts.
She paired the set with white sandal heels just her wedding ring as her only accessory.
She left her raven black tresses down in a sleek, straight hairstyle, which was parted down the middle.
And for makeup, the Fireworks hitmaker rocked a sultry, smoky eye paired with cool-toned, pink blush and a brick red lip.
Her mom wore a navy blue polo shirt and a floral-printed, pleated midi skirt.
Her dad wore an all-black look with a fun blazer jacket, a trucker cap and circular-framed retro sunglasses.
At the spring luncheon, Perry was honored for the efforts made through her Fireworks Foundation, which she launched in 2019 alongside sister Angela Lerche.
She is being recognized for her impact she’s had on youth from underserved communities.
One of the programs established by Fireworks Foundation includes a summer camp that Perry is heavily involved in as she supervises workshops on songwriting, music production and choreography.
