19-year-old boxing “golden boy” ready to break Mike Tyson’s record

The star dubbed the “Golden Boy” of British boxing wants to break the legendary record Mike Tyson holds.

After Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Moses Itauma is expected to become the future of British heavyweight boxing. The 19-year-old boxer owns an epic competition record, both amateur and professional.

The boxer dubbed the “Golden Boy” British Boxing has 22 amateur wins (10 knockouts), turning professional in 2023, the 19-year-old star also has 7 wins (5 knockouts).

In his professional debut on January 28, 2023, England’s “Golden Boy” threw a powerful left-handed punch like a hammer, forcing Marcel Bode out of the game after 23 seconds.

Moses is 1m98 tall, weighs over 100 kg, has a body approximately like Anthony Joshua, perhaps that’s why many people call him a version of “Acting King” Joshua, who once held the world heavyweight championship belt 2 times.

Moses, born to a Nigerian father and a Slovak mother, moved to England by his family at the age of 2. As a child, playing boxing for the first time, Moses vomited, so he switched to football.

Bored of spending a lot of time chasing the ball, Moses returned to boxing, and Britain had a real boxing talent.

Playing bravely, with powerful left-handed strikes, Moses can become the world heavyweight boxing champion, before turning 20.

The legendary Mike Tyson currently holds the record as the youngest boxing champion in the world at 20 years and 145 days, “Steel Puncher” defeated Trevor Berbick in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA) on November 22, 1986.

Moses was born on 28/12/2004, so he has more than 1 year to surpass senior Tyson, becoming the youngest heavyweight champion boxer in the world.

When asked by Mail Sports if he wanted to break Tyson’s record, Moses confidently replied: “I think I can do it. I want to compete well this year and become the youngest heavyweight world champion, but if that doesn’t happen I won’t be too upset. When you don’t achieve this goal, point yourself toward another milestone.”
