Novak Djokovic added another feather to his cap as he won his fifth Laureus Sportsman of the Year Award. The prestigious award is well known in the sporting world, and the tennis star is one of the few to have won it over five times.

Djokovic won the trophy for his magnificent run in 2023, including reaching all four Grand Slam finals and winning three of them. It was a huge moment for Djokovic, who equaled Roger Federer with five Laureus awards.

However, it seemed like the fans enjoyed his shoot with Vogue more than this, as he made some headlines for the short video.

Djokovic and his wife Jelena were featured in a Vogue GRWM video, where they shot behind the scenes as they got ready for the grand event. In the video, Djokovic was displaying his choice of clothing. Torn between two fabulous suits by Brunello Cucinelli, the Serbian decided to wear both suits for the event.

I’m going to have two different jackets. I’m gonna walk in on the red carpet with the black, being more elegant, a bit more classic so to say, and then I’m gonna wear a white jacket on the table. We couldn’t decide which one to go for. We were internally quite divided, so I’m gonna do both.

Said Novak Djokovic

The black one is for the red carpet and the white for the party. Rightly so, Djokovic was stunning in both his suits, as he overcame his wardrobe dilemma to clinch yet another title in Spain.

Novak Djokovic admitted to having visualized his success as he won his fifth Laureus Award

In a recent interview with CNN, Serbian ace Novak Djokovic spoke about his Laureus Award win and how he had dreamt of success before achieving it. The Serbian has an inspirational story of how he got into tennis to become one of the best players in the world.

You take nothing but the win, that’s the mentality. You kind of visualize yourself achieving that already. So I’ve been, you know, really looking forward to it.

As expected, the Serbian did achieve a lot in 2023, but everything changed with the year.

Right now, 24-time Grand Slam title champion is struggling with the wins and remains titleless. Djokovic has played three seasons so far and failed to make an impact on all of them. Despite a bad start to clay, he looks to bounce back before the Olympics.
