KAY ADAMS GASPS AS SHAMS CHARANIA REVEALS CAITLIN CLARK’S NIKE CONTRACT: “SHE’S MAKING ‘CONSIDERABLE’ MONEY” .kf

Arguably the most highly touted women’s basketball star in recent memory, Clark joins the Fever on a four-year deal worth $338,056 having already cemented herself as an all-time collegiate great.

Not only is she the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I history, but her impact on the game has also helped the meteoric rise in popularity of the women’s collegiate game.

In fact, Iowa’s NCAA Final loss to South Carolina attracted 18.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched game in women’s basketball history, according to ESPN.

Clark’s success on the court and impact off of it has also lent itself to a great deal of financial success.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the was nearing an agreement on an “eight-figure” deal with Nike, according to The Athletic.

The following day, during an appearance on Adams’ FanDuel TV show Up And Adams, The Athletics’ Shams Charania went into further detail about Clark’s monster deal.

He explained that she had met with Adidas, Nike, and Under Armour.

The latter went all out, with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry joining the pitch.

“I’m told the plan in that scenario would have been for her to be a part of Under Armour and Curry Brand, and possibly wear Curry Brand,” Charania said.

Ultimately, Clark opted to stick with Nike, with whom she had an existing relationship dating back to her time at Iowa.

When pushed for specifics on the deal, Charania said he believed “it’s fair to say that it’s above $20 million.”

Adams was visibly stunned, giving her team a “shoutout.”

He added that Clark’s deal, which will include her own signature shoe, is “a multi-year deal, so it’s going to be at least four or five years.”

Clark’s deal appears to be in the same ballpark as that of fellow WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu, whose $24 million deal with Nike also included her own shoe, as per Fox Business.

But Clark’s business dealings didn’t stop there.

She also made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, which is based in Indianapolis, during which she suggested, “I’ll be like a weekly guest on here if you want me to.”

An ecstatic McAfee immediately responded by saying, “Deal, sweet, sign the contract.”

Elsewhere, Charania also added that “a lot has been made of WNBA salaries, but I will say her business portfolio off the court, she is making significant money.”

Clark’s impressive business portfolio includes sponsorship deals with Gatorade, State Farm, and Panini signed while at Iowa.

He also teased a potential future collaboration between Clark and Curry, despite her having shunned Under Armour.

“I think Caitlin Clark, Stephen Curry, this is not the end for them,” Charania said.

“I think they might be participating in some shootouts down the line in the All-Star weekend, so we’ll see about that.”
