Only days after her estranged husband Sam Asghari showed off his body transformation, Britney Spears opened up online about her current struggle to lose weight.

Sharing with her 43 million Instagram followers, Britney posted a video of herself giving insight into her workout routine. Despite going to the gym on a daily basis, Britney says she’s not seeing the results she hoped for.

“Was inspired this morning at the gym … I go twice a day but not really losing the weight I want because I’m hungrier when I work harder,” she wrote in the long-winded caption.

Britney then recalled a strange encounter she recent had at the gym, writing, “A little boy, maybe 6, popped on the treadmill with his dad on the other side of me … Their conversation was […] ‘dad how long have you been running for ??’ ’18 minutes,’ he said … The baby ran with his hands over his right shoulder. I guess that is his heart … then he did it.”

“He went so fast and then he acted as if he was 39 years old … ‘I hope you have a nice day mom’ … ‘bye dad,’ he said … I’m like WTF WTF WTF,” Britney went on. “He went to my security and pounded it … he is a troublemaker at 6 […] ok maybe not a troublemaker but hopefully he will become a lawyer.”

Britney hasn’t been slowing down her social media posts in light of the holiday, with this being one of many clips she’s shared in the last few days. While the singer admitted to her own body image struggles, Britney didn’t comment on her ex’s recent transformation.

Sam Asghari recently admitted to dropping around 40 pounds after focusing on himself more in the wake of his split from Britney. The former personal trainer filed for divorce from the pop star in August after 14 months of marriage.

“So, in the past five months I’ve had a little transformation which was losing about a good 35 to 40 pounds,” he told Page Six earlier this month. “Sometimes when you are in a situation that you don’t get to necessarily focus on yourself, it could be challenging for you to notice [your physique changes] but everybody else does.”

“I have more time for myself to focus on myself,” Sam said of what his life is like newly single. He hasn’t settled his divorce with Britney, despite signing a prenup before their 2022 wedding. There have been reports that Sam is trying to secure a bigger payout from Britney, which he’s denied.

“Being by yourself and alone is a really good opportunity to focus on yourself,” he went on, explaining why his new look shouldn’t be seen as a diss towards his ex. “[It’s] not necessarily a revenge body, but a self-love sort of thing,” he explained.

“Sometimes you get too focused on yourself,” Sam concluded. “Self-love is something everyone should practice.”
