REPORT: Jerry Jones Is Making Incredibly Lucrative Offers To College Athletes

Jerry Jones wants to make Arkansas the place to be in the NIL era of college sports.

Arkansas is back on the map after hiring former Kentucky coach John Calipari, and now Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants the basketball program to flourish under him by lending a helping hand.

Jones is hoping to get them to Arkansas with the new coach, according to Trilly Donovan.

Jerry Jones has reportedly entered “bidding” wars with Kentucky, aiming to sway top prospects towards Arkansas with promises of double the NIL benefits they would receive in Lexington.

As co-captain at Arkansas, Jerry Jones played a key role in the team’s 1964 national championship run. In addition to being from Arkansas, he is the owner of one of the most valuable football teams in the world.

John Calipari has a history of getting elite recruits, but he continuously underperformed when the lights were the brightest, especially in the NCAA Tournament.

Before he left the Kentucky Wildcats, Calipari had recruited the No. 2 class in On3‘s 2024 Industry Basketball Team Recruiting Rankings. Now, with the help of Jerry Jones, he would love to bring those players with him to Arkansas.

John Calipari Signs Massive Deal To Get Arkansas Back On Track & It Appears Jerry Jones Had Something To Do With Him Getting There

John Calipari has signed a five-year contract to lead the Razorbacks with a salary beginning at $7 million per season and it appears Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had a lot to do with why he is in town.

According to college basketball writer Trilly Donovan, Jones is offering double the money to Kentucky players and commits to flip to Arkansas and join Calipari.

Since Calipari left Kentucky, five of the six commitments in the 2024 recruiting class have backed out, but none have headed to Arkansas yet.

Money changes a lot of minds and Jones has plenty of it.

The Razorbacks were under .500 last season. The Razorbacks have made six NCAA Final Four appearances but none since 1995
