Adam Sandler revealed he had a good ol’ laugh while watching Chris Rock’s savage takedown on Will Smith.

During the actor’s Netflix live special, Chris, 58, addressed the notorious moment the Bad Boys star, 54, slapped him onstage at last year’s Oscars ceremony after Chris made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s buzzcut.

‘Keep my wife’s name out [of] your f*****g mouth,’ Will said after striking him, leading to The Academy condemning his behaviour and launching a formal investigation that resulted in him being banned from the ceremony for ten years.

After remaining tight-lipped over the ordeal, Chris finally let loose during his comedy show and didn’t show any mercy.

‘Will Smith practices selective outrage,’ he told the crowd.

‘Everybody that really knows knows I had nothing to do with that s***. I didn’t have any entanglements.’

Adam recently defended his Grown Ups co-star’s jibes and branded the particular segment ‘amazing.’

After he was asked whether Chris went too far with the jokes, Adam replied: ‘Nope, I never thought that in my life. I thought he was unbelievably relaxed, funny, thoughtful. Crushed it.

“I thought about it all weekend, “All right, Rock’s doing his thing tonight.” Sat, watched it in my kitchen, laughed my a** off.’

Naturally, Will didn’t feel the same after sources claimed he felt ‘hurt’ and ‘embarrassed’ by the jokes.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Will is embarrassed and hurt by what Chris said about him and his family in his Netflix special.’

The insider added that Will had not yet seen the show, but comments are ‘everywhere when you look online and on social media’.

They continued: ‘Will apologised to Chris and would like for Chris to let it go. Will has worked on himself and he is banned by the Oscars for 10 years.’

‘He is upset that Netflix gave Chris this platform to share these messages and thinks it’s distasteful,’ they added.

Shortly after the notorious incident, Will shared a video in which he apologised to the former SNL comedian.
