Things are getting heated for Colorado and co. and at the forefront of the fire is Coach Prime who is taking the heat. The team has seen quite a few players leaving the squad recently and amid their rocky departures, the exit of Xavier Smith has caused a flood of controversy against Deion and Shedeur.

Over the last few months at Colorado, over 23 players of the 2023 class announced their exit from the program. Players like Dylan Edwards, Cormani McClain, Savion Washington, and Tar’Varish Dawson were among the others who decided to leave the team. Now, the well-respected Coach Prime is being accused of being a bully in college football, something that the Colorado HC hasn’t ever experienced before.

On the May 3rd episode of the ‘Iowa Everywhere’ show, hosts Chris Williams and Chris Hassel took on the much-speculated topic of the snide comments made by Sanders about Xavier Smith’s exit. Shedeur caused problems when he tweeted against Smith, “Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best.” Since then, the truth behind the Colorado curtain has been unfurled and brought Deion’s name into the crossfire. Additionally, Deion is being accused of having a film crew following his sons constantly, all the while maintaining a military-type institution in the university.

Williams joined in with his iteration of the stories he had heard from the former Colorado players. According to Williams, “They tracked 55 guys who had run out of the program. And some of these guys are talking about how they feel it’s like a military institution there and all of a sudden, you got Deion’s kids walking around with a f****** Youtube film crew following them everywhere they could. It’s like bullying, it’s really really gross.”

The hosts called out the arrogance being displayed outrightly by Shedeur Sanders as well, who, by his numbers, hasn’t proven himself to be the best QB in his class. With all that said, here’s how Deion chose to respond to the situation of Colorado losing so many of its players, which hasn’t been met with a lot of kindness by the fans.

The situation of Cormani McClain and Xavier Smith’s exit is beginning to look like a stain on Coach Prime’s legacy. The fans are suddenly getting a peek behind his fame and glory and it is unsettling. Moreover, he threw more shade at the players who chose to leave the Buffaloes in a recent statement.

During a press conference, Deion was asked about his thoughts on losing so many players to the transfer portal. He replied by saying, “You haven’t been watching practice, huh? We good. I trust the recruiting team, trust our coaches.” Thus, it seems to be that Deion is confident with where his team stands, despite having not seen a lot of success with the team in recent times.
