Britney Spears and her estranged husband Sam Asghari have finalised their divorce after separating in August 2023.

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have officially finalised their divorce after pulling the plug on their 14-month marriage.

Following their nine-month legal stipulation, the estranged couple are just waiting for a judge to sign off on the completed divorce paperwork, filed by the singer’s lawyer Laura Wasser.

According to TMZ, Britney and the 30-year-old actor signed a pre-nuptial agreement that protects her $60 million (about £48 million) fortune.

As a result, Sam is said to have been left with nothing although the songstress reportedly paid the rent at his new bachelor pad.

The outlet had previously reported she was going to cut him a six-figure check, however, this has yet to be confirmed.

In August 2023, the Iranian native filed for divorce, listing the date of separation as 28 July 2023 and citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

At the time there was also speculation of alleged infidelity surrounding Britney and a staff member.

There were also reports of a physical altercation between the former couple that allegedly left Sam with a black eye and bite marks on his arm.

He confirmed their break-up on social media and stated: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.

“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.

“S**t happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful,” he continued.

Since their divorce, Britney released an explosive tell-all memoir which surprisingly for fans has no mention of Sam.

However, the hitmaker did open up about her new relationship status on Instagram and shared: “It’s so weird being single. I’ve had a lot of time to really look back with all the good and bad.

“I’ve realized I don’t talk to myself that nicely at all. I’m easily manipulated and I wear my heart on my sleeve.”
