The devoted followers of Taylor Swift have commended her bodyguard for keeping her safe during the demanding Eras tour.
On the first part of her tour, the hitmaker has been touring the US. In 2024, she will be doing a number of gigs in Europe.
Additionally, Taylor can be seen excitedly waving to fans in a video that has been revived on social media as she exits the stage, as her eager bodyguard scans the stadium for any threats.
After a fan shared the post on Twitter, Barstool Sports repeated it, sparking a wave of praise for the bodyguard from Taylor’s followers.
‘Bro seen The Bodyguard, he understands what’s at risk!’ someone wrote. One person said, “Give the man a rise!”
“Bro was looking at everyone in the crowd like,” a third person remarked.
“Yes, please!” One fan tweeted, “I’d want exactly that in a bodyguard.”
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the album Taylor rerecorded, was released on Friday and is already breaking sales records.
Early reports claim that the 22-track anthology has already sold over 575,000 equivalent album units in the US, according to Billboard.
Of that total, 400,000 were record sales, of which 225,000 were vinyl copies. This also happens to be the biggest sales week for that category so far this year.
The amount of CDs, digital album downloads, and cassette tape sales make up the remaining sales.
Her 2022 Midnights album, which launched with 1.14 million copies sold, was the last album to have such a fantastic sales week.
In the first four days of its release, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) was streamed more than 200 million times domestically.
With 13 million of those on-demand official audio streams, her song from the vault, I Can See You, was the most streamed.
The Midnights hitmaker, who remade the popular Spider-Man meme with her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner and his wife Taylor (Dome) Lautner, will set a new record if the album stays at the top of the charts for the remainder of the tracking week.
With twelve No. 1 album debuts, Swift will tie Barbra Streisand’s record of eleven. She is the only female artist with more No. 1 album debuts than any other.
Her 2010 third studio album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), is a re-recording of the original song.
Swift has written all of her own songs and put out eleven original studio albums, three studio albums that were rerecorded, five extended plays, and four live albums.
The singer is currently starting her sixth headline global tour to celebrate all of her “musical eras” and to promote her most recent album, Midnights, which was not rerecorded.
The Eras Tour began in Glendale, Arizona on March 17 and will culminate in São Paulo, Brazil on November 26 for its first leg.
When tickets for a few of the European leg’s performances went on sale on Monday, anxious Swifties crashed Ticketmaster in an attempt to see their idol.
Taylor already announced 14 additional tour dates in Europe and the UK earlier this month, on top of the shows she already had scheduled in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and London.
