Travis Kelce ‘s enthusiasm during an event in Las Vegas at the weekend was too much for girlfriend Taylor Swift, a lip reader has claimed.
Deaf TikTok star Jackie Gonzalez gave her take on just what Taylor had to say as Travis took to the stage at his teammate Patrick Mahomes’ The 15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic gala on April 27. The lip reading expert regularly shares her insight into what is being said during celebrity conversations.
A clip from the charity bash saw Travis on stage as he joked around and sang out Viva Las Vegas while on the microphone. Taylor meanwhile was seen turning her head in the audience. Travis famously previously belted out the 1964 Elvis Presley hit when his NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl earlier this year beating the San Francisco 49ers 25–22.
Jackie has now explained what it is she believes Taylor was saying about her boyfriend’s antics on the stage as she turned to a friend at her table. Jackie claims the global superstar said “that again,” followed by “I can’t do it,” as she shakes her head side to side in jest before facing the stage again.
Jackie offered up her interpretation as she then added that “Lip reading is not a reliable form of communication and all statements are alleged.” However her claims of what was said do appear to fit the lip movements from Taylor.
Jackie has seen her videos go viral several times as she offers insight into conversations between stars including Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt and Taylor with her Fortnight collaborator Post Malone.
Elsewhere at the event Travis caused excitement for Taylor’s fans when he referred to her as his “significant other.” He said: “I just talked to my significant other. We might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket. Has anybody heard of the Eras tour? There might be a fun game where there are four tickets to the New Orleans, Miami or Minneapolis dates when the Eras tour comes back to the United States. Does that fire anybody up right now?”
The additional prize – tickets to Swift’s ‘Eras tour’ – ended up being purchased for a hefty $80,000 (£63,900), with proceeds going to the 15 and Mahomes Foundation, which works to support children in need. The auctioneer shared an Instagram post about the evening, noting: “It was a truly special night supporting @15andmahomies which improves the lives of children in need of health & wellness resources.”
