Alec Musser memorably appeared as an attractive man with a humorously high-pitched voice in Adam Sandler’s 2010 comedy ‘Grown Ups’
Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek Pinault are paying tribute to the late Alec Musser.
On Sunday and Monday, Sandler and Hayek Pinault, both 57, shared moments from their 2010 comedy Grown Ups on Instagram as they remembered Musser after his death at 50.

“I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man,” Sandler wrote on Instagram, alongside a still photo of Musser in Grown Ups. “Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person.”
Musser, whose death was announced by his fiancée Paige Press on Saturday, played a small role in Grown Ups as an attractive man at a water park who approaches characters portrayed by Hayek Pinault, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and Joyce Van Patten. Though the women are initially intrigued by Musser’s character’s appearance, they break into laughter when he speaks with a humorously high-pitched Canadian accent.
Hayek Pinault, who played Sandler’s character’s wife in Grown Ups, shared the scene in question to her Instagram page Monday “in loving memory of Alec Musser.”
“He was so kind professional and absolutely hillarious,” Hayek Pinault wrote of Musser. “His early departure breaks my heart. I feel so blessed that I got to meet him.”

“My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones for this great loss. 🖤,” she added.
Press responded to Sandler’s post in a comment Saturday, in which she thanked Sandler for taking the time to honor Musser’s memory. “He spoke so highly of you and I know working on [Grown Ups] was one of the best times of his life,” she wrote in a comment. “My heart is so broken 💔”
Musser was best known for playing Del Henry on the ABC soap opera All My Children from 2005-2007. He also appeared on Rita Rocks, the TV movie Road to the Altar in 2009 and on ABC’s Desperate Housewives in 2011.
A cause of death was not immediately available following news of Musser’s death. His most recent Instagram post, which he shared on Jan. 9, appeared to show him surfing. “Silhouette by Baja Winter twilight,” he wrote at the time, adding a sunlight emoji to the caption.
Grown Ups follows a group of childhood friends (Sandler, Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider) who reunite with their families after their youth basketball coach’s death. Musser appeared to enjoy reminiscing about his time working on the movie. He shared videos on Instagram showing moments from his scene in the film multiple times in the last year. “THANK YOU @paramountnetwork for ‘keeping the scene alive!’ 😆👙,” he wrote in a caption alongside a clip from the movie in April 2023.
