The Duchess also praised her ‘hands-on’ partner, Prince Harry
TODAY is International Women’s Day – and one of those sharing a heartfelt talk tonight was also Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, appeared on a star-studded panel in Texas, the USA, where she talked about her heartbreak of social media bullying, alongside other famous and inspirational women, including New York Times bestselling author Brooke Shields, as well as Emmy Award-winning journalist Katie Couric.

Prince Harry, 39, supported his wife from the audience – and even got a special call-out from Meghan
Dressed in a light satin button-down dress, the mum-of-two had ”a rather elegant regal presence”, as she took part in the Opening Day Keynote Panel, said body language expert Judi James.
Meghan – who was supported by hubby Prince Harry in the audience – signalled a range of emotions throughout the discussion on the stage, ”from smiling, tactile host with her active listening signals, to some deeply dug emotions including anger and vulnerability”.
As the 42-year-old bravely opened up about her struggles, the Duchess, who now spends her time in California, also showed she was resilient.
Judi said: ”Her cocked thumb and her winding hand gestures showed her love of the subjects under discussion and her one pointed index finger and a hand balled into a lightly punching fist sent out message of resilience and fight-back.”
At some point of the IWD panel, loving dad and husband, Harry, too, got a call-out from Meghan, who praised their special bond and relationship.
Referring to the 39-year-old as an ”incredible partner”, smiling Duchess spoke highly of Harry as a ”hands-on dad” to their two tots, Prince Archie and his little sister, Princess Lilibet.
The mum explained: “My husband is such a hands-on dad and such a supporter of me and our family.
“In don’t take that for granted. That is a real blessing.
“A lot of people don’t have that same level of support.”
Asked how she managed the ‘’seemingly endless toxicity that comes at you’’ in terms of social media, the mum’s inner emotions ”became more visible”,as she ”pulled a long, emphatic, rueful smile that included lip-puckering and part-closed eyes”.
A bulk of it, Meghan opened up to viewers – both in person and online – came from when she was pregnant with Archie, now four, and Lilibet, or ”Lily”, now two.
But although the Duchess appeared ”haunted” as she spoke about the ”tender and sacred time”, Meghan’s ”punching fist gesture” suggested ”resilience and fight-back”.
Recently, it was reported that Meghan had allegedly hired a UK-based public relations executive to fix her image problem.
According to The Telegraph, the new member will join her PR team ahead of the Duchess unveiling her latest commercial venture – thought to be a lifestyle and wellness brand.
A source shared with the publication that it was scheduled for last autumn, however, after it ”took different shapes”, the project was delayed.
The new venture is said to be “genuine to who she is” and won’t be a copy of Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand Goop.
The news comes as the mum-of-two is reported to have reached out for professional help to improve her “popularity problem” in the UK.
A UK PR executive would also boost publicity for the couple’s foundation Archewell.
