When asked about the prospect in an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sandler shared that the major franchises have never approached him with a role. The 50 First Dates actor shared that he never thought about the prospect of acting in the MCU, since no one has ever asked him.

“I’ve never thought about it, maybe because no one has ever asked me. I don’t know. I’m very into, I love that stuff. I see that stuff and go wow, these amazing movies, but no it hasn’t happened and probably won’t happen.”
Rumors ran back in the day that Sandler was being considered for the role of Rocket Raccoon. The rumor had fans engaging in fierce debates over whether the actor would be the right pick to voice this Guardian (via WhatCulture). However, director James Gunn debunked the rumor that Sandler was in the running for Rocket.
In a now-deleted tweet, Gunn shared that it was “not true” and added that he had “never even met Adam Sandler” (via CBR). While many fan-castings involving Sandler still happen in discussion forums, many believe that the chances of Marvel casting him are highly unlikely.

According to an engagement report released by the streamer, subscribers spent more than 500 million hours in the first six months of 2023, watching Sandler’s movies. The Grown Ups actor released three films on the platform — Murder Mystery 2, You’re So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, and Leo. All three films were co-produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions.
Netflix’s report also shared that subscribers spent a total of 173 million hours watching Murder Mystery 2 in 2023. The film was a Netflix Top 10 in 90 different countries. Sandler’s net worth also included income from his stand-up comedy. Sandler was followed by Margot Robbie, Tom Cruise, and Matt Damon as the highest earners.
