Bentley believes that both the actors had something in common. However, as time went by, the trait they once shared was lost to one. He since has also stated his dismay about the same, regretting having to go awry from a path he once sought refuge in.
Wes Bentley Loves Jennifer Lawrence’s Humor
During an interview with George Stroumboulopoulos Show, Wes Bentley couldn’t stop fawning over Jennifer Lawrence, especially the way she handles the fame. As actors who both started young, there is a great deal of importance in sticking close to one’s roots.

“She handles it so well,” he stated. “She doesn’t need any help. That girl she’s got the best sense of humour and I think that’s the biggest thing.”
He saw the actress rising in fame, getting nominated for an Oscar at such a young age, and then dealing with popularity she perhaps wasn’t ready for. As an olive branch, Bentley reached out to her and offered his support. He talked about how if ever she was in need of someone to talk to, he was always present.
Interestingly enough, Lawrence’s response wasn’t one he expected. He was mesmerized by her sense of humor, as though hers was the humor that could easily make a broken heart mend.
Wes Bentley Regrets His Loss
Although the interview was over a decade ago, there is no doubt that one trait Jennifer Lawrence has stuck close to is her humor. It is a defining trait that makes her such a likable as well as a relatable actress. Acknowledging such an advantage, Wes Bentley admitted that he couldn’t do the same.

“I lost my sense of humor when I was younger. I took it so seriously, what was going on I just took it way too seriously and lost my way. I don’t see her doing that at all.”
Bentley regrettably stated that along the way, as his career progressed, unfortunately, the humor he kept so close to his heart could not keep up. He started taking everything around him too seriously, leading to an endless downfall of an otherwise cherished trait.
On the other hand, there was a certain sense of admiration towards Lawrence, who did not let go of such a skill.
