Taylor Swift was all smiles as she met with Prince William backstage at her Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium, but she reportedly rejected the chance to work with Meghan Markle
Taylor Swift was all smiles as she hung out with Prince William, despite previously turning down an opportunity to collaborate with Meghan Markle.
The future king was spotted throwing some enthusiastic dance moves at Taylor’s Eras Tour gig at Wembley Stadium on Friday night, before being whisked away for a backstage meet-and-greet with the pop sensation. Alongside William for the exciting encounter were his two eldest offspring, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who joined in for a cheerful selfie with Taylor, with her beau Travis Kelce also popping into the frame.
This warm exchange stands in stark contrast to the snub Meghan Markle received when she attempted to lure Taylor onto her Archetypes podcast with a “personal letter”.

It’s understood that Meghan made overtures to Taylor last year, hoping to feature her on the Archetypes podcast, but Taylor passed on the offer. The Telegraph reports that Meghan penned a “personal letter” to Taylor, inviting her to be part of Archetypes, “but the singer declined, through a representative.”
Archetypes, which aired for a single season on Spotify, saw Meghan at the helm for 12 episodes, featuring a roster of star-studded guests including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, and Jameela Jamil.

The Duchess of Sussex’s show was dropped from Spotify, sparking a row as it emerged Meghan and Prince Harry were cut from the platform. A senior Spotify figure reportedly blasted the Royal couple, calling them “f****** grifters”.
Meghan Markle has since teamed up with Lemonada Media, which has already rolled out the first series of her podcast ‘Archetypes’. She’s gearing up to drop a fresh podcast with them next year.
Meghan shared her excitement about the new venture earlier this year, stating: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.”
“Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”
