Caleb Williams was the most celebrated college recruit in the 2024 NFL draft in April, and he had his girlfriend, Alina Thyregod, cheering by his side.

The Chicago Bears quarterback first began posting with Thyregod in November 2023 during his senior year at the University of Southern California. While he’s kept the majority of their relationship private — the draft was their first public appearance — he had occasionally posted photos with her while hiding her face.

Ahead of the draft, where he was selected as the No. 1 pick, he confirmed that his girlfriend would be in attendance, rooting for him alongside his parents, Carl Williams and Dayne Price.

She hinted at their romance in January 2024

Thyregod posted a TikTok in January 2024 seemingly confirming her relationship with Williams. In the video, Williams hops onto her back while she attempts to keep him on there, both falling into a fit of giggles after.

Prior to his relationship with Thyregod, Williams was last linked to Valery Orellana, whom he dated while he was in high school.

Williams teased her appearance at the draft ahead of the big day

Williams confirmed that his “lady” would be attending the draft in Detroit in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), where he was presumed to be the no. 1 in the first round, heading to the Chicago Bears.

“Wait till yall see draft day suit and my ladies dress,” he wrote. “1 of 1s.”

He has shown glimpses of her on social media

Though Williams has kept his relationship with Thyregod nearly entirely private, he has slyly included some photos of her in carousels on his Instagram. In a November 2023 post, he included a selfie of the two of them sitting on a couch — but the photo was from a bird’s eye view, only showing the top of her head.

A month later, he included two photos with Thyregod in a new post, one with her covering her face with her phone while in a car. The last picture in the slides was them posing in a mirror selfie, with Thyregod’s phone once against covering the majority of her face. Williams didn’t tag her in any of the posts.

“Last pic ifykyk 😂,” he captioned the carousel of images.

One of Williams’ friends, former USC volleyball player Skylar Fields, commented, “i enjoy the him n her content.” Williams replied, “it was needed.”

In the days leading up to the draft, Williams also posted a collage of photos on his Instagram Stories, including one with his girlfriend. She revealed more of her face, but, at the time, her identity was still not known.

She supported him at the NFL draft

When the special day rolled around in April 2024, Thyregod was by Williams’ side. The couple were spotted leaving their hotel together ahead of the draft, with Thyregod in a silver flowy dress and Williams looking dapper in a navy suit.

Thyregod also teased their looks on her TikTok, giving a before-and-after look of herself getting ready.

After Williams’ name was called, Thyregod waited for his mother to hug him before going in for her own embrace, congratulating him on signing with the Bears. Later, on her Instagram Stories, she gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the night, posing with a friend in Bears caps and writing, “Go bearssss!”
