Boy George Slams “Too Full of Herself” Madonna & “Unfriendly” Janet Jackson in New Memoir

Undoubtedly set to royally piss off the fans of Queens of Pop Madonna and Janet Jackson, 80’s hitmaker Boy George – the frontman of the ‘Karma Chameleon’-singing Culture Club – didn’t exactly bite his tongue when he shared his thoughts on the chart-topping divas in his recently released memoir ‘Karma: My Autobiography.’

Although he tackled everything from drug addiction to prison, the highs and lows of his music career, and more aboard the January 9-released book, Boy George (born George Alan O’Dowd) is garnering headlines for his revelations about some of his former Pop contemporaries.

“When it comes to me and Janet, let’s wait a while,” the British singer quipped in reference to Jackson’s 1986 ‘Control’ hit.

After revealing the two stars met on the top-rated 80’s TV series ‘Solid Gold,’ O’Dowd – despite admitting he was a fan of Janet – didn’t think she was the most approachable person.

“She wasn’t friendly and didn’t try to be,” he said of the “awkward encounter.”

When quizzed about his interaction with the ‘That’s the Way Love Goes’ hitmaker, George asserted there was never and likely will never be love between them.

“At this point, there’s certain people I’m never gonna be friends with unless a miracle happens — and I guess I put her in that category,” he shared.

And though he suggested his initial encounter with Madonna wasn’t much better, he says – unlike with Jan – there’s “still time” for them to be comrades.

“Madonna is everything it says on the tin but she adds new ingredients every day. I know for a fact she’s too full of herself to even mention me,” he relayed. “She once said, ‘Boy George was mean to me in the eighties and he’s still mean.’ To be fair, I haven’t really been given the opportunity.”

All-in-all, George is holding out hope that maybe one day the two will get closer.

“I have a sense of humour, I don’t think Madonna does, despite some of the clothes she wears (LOL),” he said. “I love to watch Madonna. I mean, the Madonna brand is genius. Like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, we should have been friends.”

‘Karma: My Autobiography‘ is available in book stores now.
