John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s date night is for a good cause!
On Thursday, May 2, the couple stepped out looking glamorous for the inaugural King’s Trust Global Gala at Cipriani South Street in New York City.
The model, 38, wore a sleeveless, shimmery black lace dress that featured a deep, plunging neckline. The garment featured a nude underlay.
Tulle ruffles gave Teigen’s gown an added layer of elegance.

She accessorized with elaborate earrings serving as her statement piece.
Legend, 45, channeled old Hollywood with black dress pants, an ivory double-breasted jacket, and a collared shirt. The 12-time Grammy winner rounded off his classic look with a black bow tie.
Other A-listers in attendance for King Charles’ inaugural charity gala include Lionel Richie and Lisa Parigi, Kate Moss, Irina Shayk, Kate Beckinsale, Ashley Graham, Sam Smith, Emily Ratajkowski, and more.
Legend and Teigen, who have been married since 2013, share four children — daughter Luna Simone, 8, son Miles Theodore, 5, daughter Esti Maxine, 15 months, and son Wren Alexander, 10 months.
However, the two still make time for a little romance.
Last month they made an appearance at the City Harvest Gala in New York in head-turning fashion.

The Cravings cookbook author wore a nipple-baring sheer floor-length, animal-print dress. The straps to her dress were long bows that dropped just below her hips.
Her makeup featured a sultry smokey eye and her hair was pinned up as pieces framed her face.
Legend stood beside his wife in an all-black suit. Animal print sequin appliqués were accents on his jacket to give the couple a coordinated look.
Earlier this year, she and the “All of Me” hitmaker walked the red carpet for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

For the February event, Legend stole the show in a black suit over a black satin shirt with a loose, low-knotted tie.
As for his date, Teigen rocked a black mini Alexandre Vauthier dress with an oversized, floral pink ruffle. She paired her statement gown with black stilettos, a red lip and loose, wavy hair.
Speaking to PEOPLE about the mom of four, Legend, one of the cover stars for PEOPLE’s 50th anniversary special edition, said: “She’s my best friend, she’s my partner, my lover.”
“As soon as I met Chrissy, she had this infectious laugh,” he said.
The two met in 2009 on the set of his “Stereo” music video, in which Teigen starred.
“She just lit up the room,” he remembered. “When she met me, I think I was shirtless ironing my own clothes because we didn’t have a stylist for the shoot. It was very low budget. I styled myself, ironed my own clothes. She walked in, and that’s how we met. I’m sure she made a joke about that. We just clicked right away.”
