KANYE WEST REPORTEDLY PUNCHED THE WRONG GUY IN ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Kanye West has found himself back in the limelight for a bizarre reason, as he reportedly attacked the wrong man in a recent alleged assault.

Kanye West Reportedly Punched The Wrong Guy In Alleged Assault Incident

TMZ spoke to some eyewitnesses who were on hand at the famed Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (April 17), and their claims about what went down are vastly different from Ye’s.

Specifically, the eyewitnesses claimed that a man accidentally ran into West’s wife, Bianca Censori, which prompted West to confront the man outside the hotel. West then allegedly punched the person he thought was responsible — but he hit the man’s identical twin, not the alleged perpetrator himself.

The twins at the center of this version of the run-in, Mark and Jonnie Houston, own a series of restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, but it’s not clear which twin allegedly ran into Censori, and which twin in turn got hit by West.

This account by eyewitnesses is very different from what Kanye West’s people told the same outlet on the day of the incident. The rap star’s team said that the assailant didn’t merely run into Censori — that what happened was far worse.

“‘Grabbed’ is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted,” a rep for West said in a statement at the time. “The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.”

As of this writing, Censori has not filed criminal charges against either of the Houston twins.

It’s not the first time the Chicago rap icon has been accused of assault.

Last year, he was sued by a female photographer who claims she feared for her life and was left “traumatized and humiliated” by Yeezy after he threw her phone away.

Footage of the incident was captured by the photographer’s business partner and showed Kanye approaching her car window after he and Bianca Censori were being tailed. Kanye also flashed what the woman called a “death stare” in her direction.

“You all ain’t gonna run up on me like that,” Ye could be heard telling her in the clip. “If I say stop, stop with your cameras.”

The rapper then proceeded to rip the phone out of her hands and toss it in the street, with the woman claiming it landed in oncoming traffic.

Before that, in 2022, West managed to evade an assault charge after punching a fan from inside of his car outside of a Los Angeles hotel.

At some point during the altercation, Kanye was heard yelling: “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? ‘Cause that’s what happened right fucking now!”

Kanye was also arrested twice in 2008 and 2013 for fighting with paparazzi photographers at Los Angeles International Airport. His criminal record was ultimately expunged.
