WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently speculated that Liv Morgan might intensify her “revenge tour” by targeting not just Rhea Ripley’s relinquished title but also her on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio. This bold prediction came during his appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, adding a dramatic twist to the ongoing storyline.
In July 2023, a storyline injury inflicted by Rhea Ripley, known as The Eradicator, sidelined Liv Morgan for nearly six months. Upon her return, Morgan launched a “revenge tour,” beginning with a backstage assault on Ripley on RAW, which resulted in a severe shoulder injury for the 27-year-old star.
The injury forced Ripley to vacate her Women’s World Championship this week, sidelining her for several months.
Morgan’s Revenge Escalates
Morgan, a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, openly declared her intentions to claim the title Ripley had to give up.
Yet, Bully Ray’s comments suggest Morgan’s retaliation might not stop there. He highlighted the personal nature of their feud, stating, “All is fair in love and war. You came back over the top with this, I did this to you.
Now, you’re on the shelf for six months. Deal with it. I’m gonna take your title and your boyfriend.” Despite playing a heel character with The Judgment Day, Ripley has garnered considerable fan support, making her one of WWE’s most popular superstars.
Conversely, Morgan has shown signs of turning heel, notably making light of Ripley’s injury with cutting remarks. Bully Ray also touched on Ripley’s potential comeback, predicting a strong return as a babyface due to her popularity and commanding presence.
“This time away is going to be good for Rhea. Recharge your battery, heal your injury, and when she comes back, WWE will have a monster woman babyface on their hands,” he noted. As WWE prepares to crown a new Women’s World Champion on the next episode of the red brand, all eyes are on Morgan to see if she can secure her second world title and perhaps, more controversially, win over Mysterio.
