Miley Cyrus debuted a dark hairdo reminiscent of her Hannah Montana days during a rare sighting with her boyfriend Maxx Morando.

The 31-year-old first rose to fame as a teenager on Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel sitcom about a pop star with a double life as a normal girl.

Although ‘Hannah,’ the singer, had straight blonde locks, ‘Miley,’ the ordinary middle school student, wore her hair curly and nut brown.

When she surfaced with Maxx this week, Miley was sporting the latter look, adding a touch of fringe that amplified the retro appeal.

Maxx, 24, is a drummer who has been linked to Miley since late 2021 and has reportedly been living with her for at least four months.

Hannah Montana ran on the Disney Channel from 2006 to 2011, starring Miley alongside her real-life father, Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

For her latest sighting, Miley cut a casual figure in a cherry red t-shirt and black jeans, warding off the California rays with sunglasses.

Meanwhile Maxx oozed throwback style with a luxurious dark mullet and an outfit comprised of a white tank top tucked into his black trousers.

In February it was claimed the couple were living together, with a source gushing that Miley was ‘very happy’ in the relationship.

‘Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious,’ the insider explained to People.

‘Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy. She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.’

Meanwhile Miley’s parents Billy Ray, 62, and Tish Cyrus, 57, who divorced in 2022, have seen their own love lives explode into the public eye.

Tish has been beset by sensational accusations that she stole her new husband Dominic Purcell, 54, from her daughter Noah Cyrus, 24.

Dominic and Tish got married in Malibu last August – but in recent months speculation has been circulating that Noah dated him first.

Billy Ray on the other hand filed for divorce from his new wife Firerose, 35, two weeks ago after just seven months of marriage.

Firerose accused Billy Ray of psychologically abusing her and breaking up with her the day before she was meant to have a preventative double mastectomy.

Billy Ray, who filed for divorce citing ‘inappropriate marital conduct’ and ‘irreconcilable difference,’ fired back in his own court documents, per TMZ.

He accused her of misleading him about her real surname, estranging him from one of his daughters and exploiting his name to boost herself professionally as a singer.
