Fans believe that Brady defaced the memorabilia, while the seven-time Super Bowl champion has insisted he was blindsided by the situation.

The 46-year-old Brady’s autograph event took place in Miami last weekend.

Fans of the retired NFL star were left enraged after spending thousands on the the results of their valuables.

The autographs were written illegible as one customer revealed his disgust on the matter.

“I would have much rather him not sign it than what we got. He defaced our stuff,” Glen Gagnon told the memorabilia outlet cllct.com.

It’s believed that around 100 people spent over $3,600 for last weekend’s event.

The Brady fans were able to listen to a speech from the former signal-caller and given a chance to meet him.

Gagnon also claimed coordinators told fans that Brady would sign any piece of memorabilia that they brought to the event.

Brady gave a speech about trying your best and working hard all the time.

However, the attendants were left stunned when they noticed the signatures that Brady penned on their items.

Brady’s autograph commonly had a descending T and B joining together along with a readable, yet messy Y.

But there were less-than-inspiring scribbled autographs shared by fans, including attendee Brad Jarrett.

“Well Tom these words were motivational until we saw the lack of effort that you put in on the signatures we paid a lot of money for. $3600 isn’t cheap and to hear you preach one thing and then act completely opposite,” Jarrett wrote in a Facebook post after the event.

He continued, “I consider myself lucky and blessed that I got what I did because there were far worse quality of signatures Tom was doing.

“I wish Tom stuck around long enough to see the looks of disappointment of the fans as they received their items.”

Attendees were left wondering if they could get their autographs authenticated while some attempted to wash off the signatures they felt might hurt the value of their souvenirs.

Fans were also fuming over the lack of authenticators at the event.

But it’s reportedly believed that event organizer Fernandez Anzures was to blame for the fiasco as he didn’t reveal the terms of the affair to Brady.

“[Brady] was completely blindsided,” a source close said to cllct.

“This was supposed to be signatures for VIPs of the conference — not a signing for his biggest collectors.”

The same source also added that Brady was told the event would only include a singing of books and photographs, which wouldn’t involve authenticated autographs on valuable items.

And the price of the ticket also included dinner, drinks, a private museum tour as well as a cruise.
