The 2024 NFL Draft was one to remember after we saw a generational prospect in Caleb Williams go to the Chicago Bears at number one overall, as many fans had been expecting for the past few months.
It’s probably safe to assume that some fans had placed their money where their mouth is and bet on the Bears’ decision. Now that the 2024 NFL Draft is over, fans can place bets on the 2025 draft and who will be the top selection.
A post on X by DraftKings Sportsbook has the official odds for the 2025 NFL Draft up right now, and the list of possible number-one guys includes University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Georgia’s Carson Beck, and Longhorns signal caller Quinn Ewers.

The list also includes a number of other players, including Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, who had an outstanding season in 2023. Yet, he still has the fifth-highest odds to be taken with the number one overall selection next year.
It is no secret that Shedeur Sanders is the youngest son of NFL legend and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who is currently the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, where both his sons Shilo and the aforementioned Sheduer are playing their college ball.
Ewers is currently starting with the Texas Longhorns, and he is backed up by 2026 NFL Draft prospect Arch Manning, whose uncles are Payton and Eli. Manning played some phenomenal ball during the spring game, which speaks numbers to the fact that Ewers remains the Longhorns starter.
Georgia’s Carson Beck is listed as tied with Ewers for the second-highest odds of going number one, and he has no family connections to the league. Beck’s nearly 4,000 years and 26 touchdown performance may help him overtake Sanders for the number one overall pick.
