Robert Griffin III suggested Caleb Williams threaten the Bears, saying if they draft him, he will sit out the entire season.

Ever since the Chicago Bears decided to trade Justin Fields for the third-day pick of the 2025 draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Robert Griffin III has made it quite clear he wasn’t in sync with the move.

And now, he directed a message straight to the Bears’ most likely No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams, advising him not to join them.

The hottest question this offseason has been what the Bears would do with Fields since they have the No. 1 pick. After drafting the quarterback in 2021, the Bears had high expectations of him as their savior. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as anyone planned.

Many analysts suggested the Bears let go of Fields after three losing seasons and looking at last week’s trade, the franchise heard them. Shortly after the trade, the former NFL quarterback voiced his dismay, saying the Steelers robbed the Bears with the cheap trade.

And now, with the draft coming to action soon, Griffin lends a blunt piece of advice to the USC quarterback.

Caleb Williams should pull an Eli Manning and demand that Chicago Bears do not draft him No. 1 overall.  After everything happened with Just...Justin Fields, can Caleb Williams really look at that and say, ‘You know what, this is the organization that has my best interest at heart and they’re gonna help develop me into the player I wanna be?’

Griffin pointed out how Williams has publicly said that he wants to be legendary and has won the most games. But looking at what happened with the 11th pick of 2021, Chicago can hardly help him become that.

He suggested Williams step back and even threaten them, saying if they draft him, he will sit out the entire season. Griffin believes that before signing with the Bears, the young quarterback should make a calculated choice for a career that can be legendary.
