NBA legend Scottie Pippen has posted a curious photo to social media following news of Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen breaking up.

The relationship between Marcus and Larsa put Scottie in a very awkward spot as Marcus is the son of his former teammate, Michael Jordan. MJ and Scottie’s relationship soured after ‘The Last Dance’ came out in 2020, with Scottie feeling like he was portrayed in a bad light during the hit docuseries while he had an issue with his ex-teammate getting paid millions while he got nothing.

He would write a book shortly after in which he claimed to have never been friends with Michael and he has taken a few shots at his former partner in crime since then.

Jordan’s son hooking up with his former spouse and the mother of his children must have stung even more. But it’s believed that the pair have split up, with Marcus spending Super Bowl Sunday with his father after they unfollowed each other on social media and deleted all photos of each other from their accounts.

Scottie has reacted by posting a video of himself lighting a cigar (a Jordan favorite) to Instagram.

“It happened Friday or Saturday, but most likely on Saturday,” a source told People Magazine on the breakup. “They were just with friends last Thursday or Friday and no one saw any issues and they were happy. They’ll probably get back together.

“It’s relationship stuff. But apparently came out of nowhere so when the emotions settle, it will maybe be fine.”

“This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth,” another source said, given the speculation over whether MJ had anything to do with the split.

Of course, Scottie’s post might be unrelated. But it’s better to think that it had everything to do with the latest development between Marcus and Larsa.
