Taylor Swift’s new album continuously breaks records less than 24 hours after its release.

Taylor Swift’s latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology’, has continuously broken numerous global music records on its first day.

 

 

Just a few hours after its release, Taylor Swift surprised fans by announcing that ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is a ‘double album’. That is, in addition to the original album, the singer will release an additional 15 songs, bringing the total number of songs in this album to 31, and simultaneously updating the new name for the album to ‘The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology’.

Prior to its release, Taylor Swift’s comeback album was announced by Spotify as the most saved album in the history of this music channel. Subsequently, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ became the most listened to album in history on its first day of release on the Amazon Music streaming service, despite only being released for 13 hours.

The single ‘Fortnight’, a collaboration with Post Malone from the album, quickly climbed to number 1 on the Apple Music chart, making Taylor Swift the first female artist to achieve this. Currently, the Top 10 on Apple Music is dominated by songs from the album. ‘The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology’ is also topping the Apple Music chart in 93 countries and regions.

Notably, the ‘queen of pop music’ achieved these feats in less than 6 hours after release. The album is aiming to break the record for the most releases in Apple Music history, currently held by rapper Drake.”

From a professional standpoint, ‘The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology’ has received positive reviews from critics. Rolling Stone magazine gave the album a perfect score of 100 points, The Guardian rated it 4 out of 5 stars, and NME gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
