The relationship between Marcus Jordan and Larissa Pippen is revealed by Charles Barkley.[a]

Charles Barkley was the guest on this week’s episode of Shannon Sharpe’s hit podcast “Club Shay Shay.” Barkley and Sharpe covered a multitude of topics, including Michael Jordan’s son’s past relationship with Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen.

The Reason For Larsa Pippen & Marcus Jordan's Reported Breakup Revealed

Sharpe asked, “Michael Jordan’s son is dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife… Would you feel some type of way?”

Barkley replied in the affirmative. “Hell yeah!… I feel bad for [them]. That is so messy… Their relationship will never be the same.”

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan may be on again after calling things off two months before. The pair were seen holding hands in Miami Beach, Florida as they took a short stroll before finding their seats last week.

Pippen, 49, and Jordan, 33, first met in 2019 through mutual friends at a party in Los Angeles.

Larsa’s ex-husband Scottie and Marcus’ dad Michael spent a decade as possibly the most talented duo in NBA history. The pairing won six NBA Championships in six tries with the Chicago Bulls. They won three in a row from 1991-93 0+- including topping Barkley and the Suns in 1993 – and then three more in a row from 1996-98. In between three-peats, Jordan retired for the first time from the NBA after his father’s untimely death.

Following the release of The Last Dance, rumors surfaced that Pippen was not pleased with the docuseries or how he was portrayed. According to an excerpt from Pippen’s memoir Unguarded, published by GQ, Pippen claimed that Jordan reached out to his former teammate via text and said, “What’s up dude? I’m getting word that you’re upset with me. Love to talk about it if you have time.”

“I told him I wasn’t too pleased with it. He accepted it. He said, ‘Hey, you’re right.’ That was pretty much it,” Pippen said.

Although Pippen was privately struggling with what he saw in The Last Dance, he publicly shared that he was unbothered by the series. In one scene in particular, Jordan said that Pippen’s decision to delay ankle surgery until after the season began was “selfish” — but Pippen affirmed that there was no bad blood between the former teammates.

Also in the book, he spoke about deciding not to reach out to Jordan when his father James Jordan was murdered.

“The two were inseparable. When I heard the news, I should have reached out to Michael right away. Having lost my own dad three years before, I might have been able to offer Michael some comfort. To this day, he and I haven’t spoken about his father’s death.”

Per Stephen A. Smith, Pippen putting that revelation in his book completely soured Jordan on Pippen.

“And when it comes to Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan feels betrayed when Scottie revealed in his book his feelings for Michael Jordan and how he didn’t even give his condolences in person to Michael Jordan. I was on the phone with Michael Jordan that day talking about something else. And then we had heard about what Scottie Pippen had said and Michael Jordan was under the impression that it was just busy, it was chaotic and all of this other stuff. And that’s why he never thought anything of it. But all of these years later, when Scottie Pippen had alluded to his father passing away, his father being murdered and how he didn’t give his condolences on purpose, Michael Jordan’s words were, ‘I hope it’s worth it. I hope it’s worth it for him. I have nothing.’ And he literally said, ‘I have nothing else to say.’ And I know Michael Jordan well enough to know what that means.”

Barkley has a point when we says that it appears that the relationship between the two championship teammates is unsalvageable.
