In a new interview with The Sunday Times, published on April 21, the fashion designer and former Spice Girls star, 50, described her hands-on parenting style, which includes mother-daughter girls’ nights now that her daughter, Harper, 12, is her only child still living at home.
The article referenced a trip that Victoria and Harper took to a supermarket chain in England called Waitrose to pick up a specific snack that the preteen wanted for school.

“I’ve never not done those things, neither has David. They are important,” the mom of four said of everyday parenting chores that also serve as bonding moments.
But when her former soccer player husband is away, Victoria and her daughter make sure to have glam nights.
“We do them when David is away,” she said, before revealing, “Tonight it’s fake tan.”
The singer recently celebrated her 50th birthday at a star-studded party at Oswald’s, a private members-only club in London, on Saturday, April 19. Guests included Tom Cruise, Marc Anthony, Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Victoria’s entire family, including Harper’s brothers Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19, dressed to the nines to celebrate the Beckham matriarch.
Victoria wore a sheer mint green dress to her soirée, while Harper looked all grown up in a chic champagne gown and the men chose dapper tuxedos.

In her interview with The Sunday Times, Victoria reflected on getting older. “The thing with aging is that it is what it is. I always remember Marc Jacobs saying to me when he turned 60 that it was better than the alternative of not turning 60,” she told the outlet.
“But generally I feel good about things,” she added. “I have better opportunities now than I did when I was younger.”
