Tom Brady seemingly confessed to “Deflategate” during his roast special that aired on Netflix last night.

Netflix aired “The Roast of Tom Brady” on Sunday evening, where several of his former teammates, celebrities and former head coach Bill Belichick took turns “roasting” the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

The event was hosted by comedian and actor Kevin Hart. Jeff Ross, Kim Kardashian, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft were among the notable celebrities who spoke on the stage.

When it was Brady’s turn to talk, he brought up the infamous “Deflategate” scandal, in which the NFL controversially handed him a four-game suspension for alleged involvement in the deflating of footballs ahead of the 2014 AFC Championship Game.

“Remember Deflategate? The NFL spent $20 million and found it was ‘more probable than not’ that I was generally aware that someone may have deflated my footballs? You could have just given me the $20 million and I would just tell you I (expletive) did it!”

The NFL launched an investigation to see if Brady and the Patriots purposely had footballs deflated (at Brady’s request) ahead of the 2014 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Attorney Ted Wells was hired by the NFL to investigate the matter. He concluded that Brady probably was “generally aware” of the scandal. The NFL handed Brady a four-game suspension, fined the Patriots $1 million and stripped them of two draft picks.

Brady appealed the decision in court and had it overturned ahead of the 2015 season. The NFL challenged that ruling in the 2016 offseason and had the suspension restored, and Brady reluctantly accepted the four-game ban.

The NFL’s suspension of Brady led to plenty of outrage across the league, but TB12 himself got the last laugh anyway. Brady won 11 of his 12 regular season starts upon returning and led the Patriots to a Super Bowl 51 championship, defeating the Atlanta Falcons in overtime after trailing 28-3 in the second half.
