Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic is ready to take the role of the next James Bond as he looks to take his acting career to the next level. The 36-year-old said it was obvious that he would want the role of the famous character and he is ready to leave his Novak Djokovic character if he is offered the James Bond role.

The Serbian made this statement after he won his fifth Laureus World Sports Award. Djokovic or better say Bert Critchley was asked if he is ready to take up the role of James Bond, and the Serbian gave an affirmative response.

Am I? I mean, isn't it obvious? I don't know what took them so long but if that's the official offer, I am ready. I mean, I love my Novak Djokovic character. I think I enjoyed it. We had fun with it, but I probably would leave Novak for James Bond. I think it's time to take my acting career to a different level.

Novak Djokovic said when he was asked if he is the next James Bond.

James Bond for later but Birt Critchley will have to continue as Novak Djokovic for now

While ambitions are good, Birth Critchley will have to continue portraying the most successful tennis player- Novak Djokovic. This character has earned him all the praise with fans going gaga over the tennis player. Djokovic is at the top of the game with 24 Grand Slam titles to his credit.

Although the 2024 season has not been the best so far, Djokovic is expected to come good some time or the other. After failing to win a title in the first tournament he played, the 36-year-old is now ready to take on the top players on the tour at the Madrid Open.

The Serbian ace has been given a bye in the first round. Djokovic will be hoping to go the distance this time around. He has done amazingly well in the last two editions of the tournament. While he reached the semifinal last year, Djokovic won the title in 2022.

Overall, the Serbian has a win-loss record of 30-9 in Madrid. It is to be seen if he manages to lift the title this year as well.
